Democrats PROMISED $2000 Survival Checks!

On January 5 there was a special election held in Georgia where the two running Democrats ultimately won. How were they able to pull it off? No, the election was not stolen by the Russian mafia, Chinese hackers, Venezuelan voting machines, or little green men. It was won because the Democrats promised the American people relief in the form of immediate distribution of $2000 survival checks!

These words are verbatim, by then Senate candidate Jon Ossoff, during an interview before the election, “We will be able to pass $2,000 dollar stimulus checks for the people next week when we win these races in Georgia and get economic relief directly into the bank accounts of the American people who are suffering right now.” (link to video below)

At a rally, the day before the election, then president-elect Joe Biden said, and I quote “By electing Jon Ossoff and Rev. Warnock you can make an immediate difference in your own lives, the lives of the people across this country. Because their election will put an end to the block in Washington of that $2000 stimulus check. That money that will go out the door immediately to help people who are in real trouble.” (link to video below)

Even Rev. Warnock was serious about getting us those $2,000 checks. On January 1, 2021 at 1pm he Tweeted a photo (link to photo below) of a check NOT for $1400, but for $2000! It is impossible to misinterpret the promises being made here. Well, we are now going into the third week of Joe Biden’s presidency and we are ALL still waiting for those promised $2,000 checks. Perhaps the sun got in their eyes or the dog ate their homework? Because you would think reconciliation would have immediately come into play?

Instead, the Democrats, who promised those survival checks were going to be a standalone bill, which should have made it super easy for Republicans to vote for started talking about $1,400, since we already got $600. To make matters worse they then added the $1400 amount as part of the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill. Effectively making even those survival checks even more unlikely to happen. Another excuse is Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) each claim to be against these survival checks. But rather than playing hardball with those two, the Democrats keep negotiating themselves further away from their stated promise.

To make matters worse, now some Democrats have begun claiming the checks will go out in March or maybe April. People are facing financial ruin, some communities more so than others due to a global COVID-19 pandemic not of their own doing, and instead, Senate Democrats have gone back to politics as usual with Republicans. Was Donald Trump and now people like Marjorie Taylor Green being elected to the Congress not enough of a wakeup call? Do the Democrats not realize the white-hot fire they are playing with as we inch our way towards the 2022 midterms? Because I for one am not looking forward to a competent version of Donald Trump in the White House in four years.
